The American National Rugby League will break new ground this weekend when it stages Cup Final XV at a new venue for the league.

The reigning champion New York Knights are set to clash with the Connecticut Wildcats this Saturday at 3:30pm at Fairfield Ludlowe High School Football Stadium in Connecticut.

This will be the first time in several years that the AMNRL championship game will not be played in either New York or Philadelphia.

The two teams met in last year’s championship final with the Knights running away with the title in an undefeated season featuring one of the great teams in American Rugby League history.

This year's Cup Final will be an exciting affair with the Wildcats desperate to make up for last season's final game loss, while the Knights will be looking to maintain their mantle as the premier rugby league force in the USA.

Few can dispute that the Knights have set the standard for high level on field performance with their only loss in the past two seasons being a two-point defeat at the hands of the Pennsylvania Bulls earlier this year.
